To bring fresh, youthful ideas to the world of communications and help our clients achieve their organizational goals.
Five fountains is Butler University’s fully student-run communications agency. Five fountains was created by 21 founding members completely virtually in the middle of the pandemic. They worked to completely redesign the organization from the ground up.
The founding members developed the agency’s new name, branding and began working with clients. Five fountains was chosen as the name because Butler University has five major fountains on its campus that students attempt to jump into before they graduate. Water also signifies rebirth and a fresh image, which fits the image of the agency.
Five fountains is a 3-credit elective communications course, but it is still open to all majors. The agency works with real-world clients to execute communications campaigns each semester. Through five fountains, students gain real agency experience and build networking skills.
Clients for five fountains are chosen by leadership. They are typically local businesses, nonprofits and other organizations that require communications services that the agency can provide. Some former clients are Butler Arts & Events Center, Holliday Park, Navigation to Survivorship Network, Glendale Youth Soccer Association and more.
Since its beginning, five fountains has made a difference in the Indianapolis Community. The agency offers real experience to students while also helping local businesses. Five fountains has been recognized for its hard work. In June of 2022, five fountains won three Awards of Honor at the PRSA Pinnacle Awards.
